Nancy #1 is a small rug, handwoven on a traditional foot-loom using 100% hand-spun sheep wool. This design features a black-and-white checkered pattern at the center, shaped to mirror the town borders of Momostenango, the place in Guatemala where wool rugs have been traditionally woven for generations.

Designed by Hanne de Wyngaert and brought to life by Mayan weavers in Guatemala, each rug supports centuries-old artisanal tradition. By working directly with indigenous communities, we aim to provide fair economic opportunities while creating pieces that are both beautiful and functional.
